Lea Bauer is currently working for IFOAM Organics Europe as a Regulation Consultant. Her expertise related to the EU Organic Regulation and horizontal legislation in the field of agriculture and food production has been gained during her involvement in the work of different IFOAM structures such as the Regulation Task Force, Council and Board and her previous job at Biokontroll Hungária. At the Hungarian organic control body her last position was Head of International Department where she gained experience in the field of organic certification, national and international accreditations, quality management, international certification programmes, standard setting and the organic legislation.
She holds masters’ degree in agricultural engineering and environmental management and specialized translation from Szent István University, Gödöllő and in oenology and wine management from Corvinus University, Budapest.
