My name is Gábor Kokavecz. I work for the National Food Chain Safety Office in Hungary. Since 2019, I have been the head of the Seed Inspection Department. I am also the international contact person for the OECD Seed Schemes and the European Seed Certification Agencies Association (ESCAA). This semester, I am also part of the EU Presidency in the PRM file.
I also worked for the FAO, where we produced educational material on a well-functioning seed certification system. Our department carries out the field inspections of seed productions harvested to the pre-basic category in the whole territory of Hungary. Also, we are responsible for operating the online database related to organic seeds according to (EU) 2018/848 regulation.
